About Us
IPPS Mentoring Programs Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation created to provide
churches and other organizations a means of developing mentoring programs for at-risk youth in their communities. The corporation was founded by
its executive director, Mr. Robert J. Williams.
Mr. Williams retired in 2004 from the United States Department of Agriculture, Food Safety
Inspection Service. He considers his greatest achievements during his 35 years of federal service to be the creation, development and
implementation of two mentoring programs, one for persons with disabilities employed within the department, and one for all employees of the
agency.
His new mentoring programs are designed to enhance the lives of elementary, middle and senior high
school-aged youth on Maryland's lower Easter Shore. Youth are matched with qualified adults who
have been screened and trained. They work to improve each young person's educational performance, communication skills, self-image, leadership
skills, career focus and long-term success.
